As covered in the J Prince memoir “The Art & Science Of Respect,” Mike left Rap-A-Lot in the early 90s, to go work for Virgin Records urban startup, Noo Trybe. Mike who maintained a great relationship with Rap-A-Lot, was very instrumental in Rap-A-Lot switching their distribution from Priority Records to Noo Trybe, and would eventually return to the Houston label some years later.

Those who knew Mike, all described him as someone very serious about his business, kindhearted, but quick to tell you what it is and what it was going to be! We send our deepest condolences to Mike Mack’s family & friends.
